The steering system:

The steering system enables the driver to turn the front wheels left or right. Steering starts at the steering wheels in front of the driver. As it is turned, shafts and gears act on the linkage, which connects, to the front wheels. The wheels swing to right or left. A few vehicles have four wheel steering. When the front wheels swing to one side the rear wheels also swing slightly, which improves high-speed stability. The steering system can be power assisted, hydraulic or mechanical linkage type.
